Alison is a Florida native who was born and raised in Lake Wales, FL, in the heart of citrus country.  She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Florida State University and began her career as an auditor for one of the largest U.S. public accounting firms.  Alison was hired away from public accounting to become the Controller for a regional public finance company in St. Petersburg, FL owned by William R. Hough.  She has had several other Controller-level positions with companies in the steel processing, window sales, and commercial property management industries.

As a Certified Public Accountant for over 30 years, Alison is a member in good standing of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants.  She has owned and operated her own CPA practice for over twenty years.

Alison has three sons, one grandson, and another grandson on the way.  Her oldest was honorably discharged from the Navy, graduated with a Civil Engineering degree from the University of Kansas, and works in the commercial construction field in Austin, TX.  Her middle son graduated from the Construction Management program at Colorado State University, worked in various aspect of the construction industry and now owns a Pella Windows and Doors distributorship headquartered in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The youngest is studying finance and economics at Methodist University in North Carolina, while playing baseball.  

Alison recently moved to The Villages, Florida.  In her spare time, Alison loves scrapbooking, crafting, cardio drumming, beachcombing, being involved in her local church.  She is also an expert in the art of baking chocolate chip banana bread, as well as M&M w/chocolate chip cookies.
